About the project

Septimus Kane is a tertiary certified fine artist, with a passion for illustrating biblical characters. In 2022 she decided to start compiling a book of biblical illustrations, documenting her research into several bible characters.
She is compiling an encyclopaedia of characters with hand-drawn illustrations, complete with character write-ups, to help all ages learn more about both major and minor biblical characters, in a visually appealing way.

Her encyclopaedia is the perfect resource for christians, historians, schools and churches looking for material which visually and succinctly explains the characters in the bible, and their histories.

Septimus has completed the first book which features 200 bible characters. Each character features a write-up next to the image, which explains who the character is, a bit about their context and relationship to other prominent characters, followed by 'notable verses' from the bible which Septimus best feels encapsulates what they were known for, or best remembered for. There is a generated cinematic quality image below each profile summary to provide extra visual context for readers.

Septimus is now working on a number of sequels to the book, including The Art of Biblical War. This book will be for older youth, and will contain a comprehensive guide to military concepts in the bible. It is essentially the Christian guidebook to conflict.

What she does after this stage, may be adding to the list of benevolent characters or starting on malevolent characters.
She plans to do non-human characters, animals and entities in future as well.

The aim of The Encyclopaedia Project is to facilitate in the educational learning of the bible, particularly for kids, teens and even adults who feel there are gaps in their biblical knowledge.
